Applied research sponsored by the Getty - relationships among the projects

Joseph A. Busch

My role at the Getty Art History Information Program (AHIP) is to provide project management and systems analysis expertise to a variety of projects which represent a cross-section of the types of applied research we have been engaged in supporting. From this vantage, I have a special opportunity to participate in the coordination of what may appear from the outside to be unrelated activities. In this paper I will provide a brief overview of the major AHIP projects to indicate the
(1) breadth and relationships among our activities, and

(2) data distribution and technical accomplishments that I think will be of interest.
