This paper describes a Libraries and Art Galleries Department initiative, which is being developed to coincide with the opening of the new Guildhall Art GaHery. It outlines current use of the collections, reveals a plan for capturing and indexing them, gives an overview of the proposed visual information system, and reveals one approach to introducing this type of project.
