The National Art Library's Dynix computer system includes provision for automated acquisitions, cataloguing, serials control, circulation, and a public catalogue. The Library uses the OCLC bibliographic database for cataloguing to agreed international standards, and increasingly uses the Art and Architecture Thesaurus for subject terms. Conversion of the older catalogues has begun. CD-ROMs and videodiscs containing images of art objects are available in the library, and other imaging systems are planned.
