The Romanian National Cultural Heritage Database - Sl-PCN covers the following disciplines: Fine Arts, Decorative Arts, Archaeology, Numismatics, Ethnography, Rare Books, History, Documents, and Natural Sciences. The national database amounts to 450,000 documents in machine readable form and 500,000 cards awaiting input. Other computerized data collections are. The Museums Reference Database with more than l 500 items of information; Museums Activities Data Collection, Museum Professionals' Reference Database; Theater History Database with information about 12,000 premieres in Romania. The first results of Romania's new openness can already be seen by the active participation in information sharing and interchange initiatives, multi-lingual, interactive multimedia, European international collaborative projects, to confirm that culture can take a lead and create new gateways for national and international understanding and development.
